**This week in French I, we will cover all material from Unité 2 Leçon 7 (pages 44-47)**

En classe:

• Daily review questions and conversations in French.
• Discussion about Epiphany (January 6th) and the beginning of the Mardi Gras festivities.
  
• Mlle Young shared photos of her family with the class as the students used the new Unité 2 Leçon 7 vocabulary to describe each family member.
  
• Grammar discussion of mon and ma vs. ton and ta.
  
• Read the Note Culturelle on page 45.
• Completed activity 1 on page 46 with a partner.
• Watched the Leçon 7 video about family members and marriage ceremonies in France.

Les devoirs:

• Complete the double-sided worksheet based on Leçon 7 material.
  

French Culture

In class:

• Presented information on Parisian monuments in preparation for the giant-sized map of Paris we will make later in the week.

Homework:

• Work on your francophone project research. Meet in the MCRC on Wednesday. 9th period projects are due next week: January 14th!

En classe:

• Discussion of current events and French artifacts.
• Discussion in French about the winter vacation.
  
• Passed back Unité 1 test, Unité 2 Leçon 5 quiz, and Unité 2 Leçon 6 quiz. Made all necessary corrections.

Les devoirs:

• If you received a D+ or below on either of the quizzes or the test passed back today, please take it home for a parent/guardian signature by Wednesday.
• Complete Unité 2 Leçon 7 vocabulary worksheet.
  

French Culture

In class:

• Discussed current events and French artifacts.
• Worked with a partner in the Media Center to do research on a selected Parisian monument. Took notes on this monument in preparation for a mini presentation in class on Tuesday.

Homework:

• Spend another 10 minutes completing research on your Parisian monument. Come to class on Tuesday with your notes.
