• Reviewed Leçon 11 vocabulary.
• Completed activities 1 and 2 on page 68 with a partner.
• Worked in groups of three to create a café menu and skit using all vocabulary from Leçons 9, 10, and 11.

Les devoirs:

• Complete activity 3 on page 69 using the menu on page 68 to help you out. Write each mini dialogue in complete sentences.
• Bring in articles and artifacts. This is your last week before the trimester ends!

French Culture

2nd period:

• Students looked at examples of previous Francophone project posters to get an idea of the high expectations.
• Used travel books to research certain monuments in Paris.
• Homework: Work on your Francophone project research.
  

9th period:

• Handed back all assignments and map quiz - made corrections to all assignments.
• Worked on Francophone projects.
• Homework: Presentations are Wednesday and Friday. Be prepared!

HAPPY MARDI GRAS!

In class:

• Discussed Mardi Gras and the festivities surrounding this holiday.
• Students received beads and doubloons for correctly answering Mardi Gras trivia.
• Students took the map of France/Europe quiz (2nd period only).
• Students worked on the Parisian monument project using travel books (9th period only).

Homework:

• Continue to work on your Francophone project research.

**This week in French I, we will finish our study of Leçon 10 (pages 62-65), celebrate Mardi Gras and begin Leçon 11 (pages 66-69).**

• Completed activities 1-4 on pages 64 and 65 with a partner.
• Used a white board with a partner and wrote down sample requests you'd ask a waiter based on scenarios given in French by Ms. Young.

• Study the Mardi Gras vocabulary in order to play games on Tuesday.
• Make/buy/bring a Mardi Gras mask to class on Tuesday for extra credit.
• Study for Wednesday's quiz on Leçon 10.

• Finished watching Ms. Young's trip to Paris and Luxembourg photos on PowerPoint.
• Discussed impressions of these photos (interests, fascinations, etc).
