In class:
  • Discussed articles and artifacts.
  • Introduced the Tour du Monde Francophone project and listed Francophone countries.
  • Discussed cognates and worked with partners on the Borrowed Words worksheet.
Homework:
  • Bring in article and artifacts.
  • Complete the Borrowed Words worksheet. Prepare for a quiz on this material on Friday.

En classe:
  • Daily review questions and conversations in French about the weather, date, weekend plans, introductions, etc.
  • "Competition game" to review classroom expression and objects.
  • Introduced numbers 1-20 and seasons. Passed out a 3 page packet including numbers, seasons, months, days of the week and colors.
  • Played a counting game with Monsieur Tortue in order to review numbers 1-20 and played four corners in order to review the seasons.
Les devoirs:
  • Study and review vocabulary for Expressions en Classe, numbers 1-20 and seasons.
  • All supplies are due Monday!
  • Start bringing in articles and artifacts on Monday.

  • Reviewed and discussed syllabus.
  • Selected French names and played a review name game.
  • Introduced numbers 1-20 and played a review number game.
Homework:
  • Bring all supplies to class on Monday (separate French Culture folder, etc.)

  • Worked with a partner and gave directions and commands to review classroom objects and expressions.
  • Introduced and discussed the "Cet été project. Read the directions carefully and bring in your final project on Monday, August 31.
Les devoirs:
  • Cet été project and all supplies (binder, divider, dry erase markers, etc.) are due Monday.
