French I

En classe:
  • Daily review questions and conversations in French.
  • Briefly reviewed the Leçon 6 vocabulary.
  • Reviewed and corrected Monday's homework (book page 42 activity 2).
  • Checked out and discussed the Haiti Exchange of Hope blog and watched the video montage of photos from the Children's Home: Horizon de l'Espoir. Please check out the blog: http://haitiexchangeofhope.blogspot.com
  • Read and discussed the "Petit Commentaire," cartoon and green grammar box on page 42.
  • Completed page 42 activity 1.

  • Bring in your euros for 1st trimester's store on Friday!
  • Bring in items to be sold at our "Garage Sale" on Dec. 7-9. Be sure to come to French Club on Dec. 7 for first dibs at the great selection. These will make wonderful holiday gifts! All money raised will be donated to the Children's Home in Haiti.

  • Discussed articles and artifacts.
  • Continued playing the Lecon 21 board game.
Les devoirs:
  • Complete book page 190 activities 1-2. For activity 2, just write out the questions. Do not write responses.
  • Research Friday's famous francophone:
  • Bring in your euros to class on Friday for our first trimester store!
  • Start bringing in items you'd like to donate to our "garage sale." All money raised will be donated to the Children's Home in Haiti. The first day of the garage sale will be at French Club on Tuesday, Dec. 7th from 3:30-4:30. We will continue the "garage sale" in class and during all lunch periods on Wednesday, Dec. 8th and Thursday, Dec. 9th. These will be great holiday gifts for family and friends!   • Discussed articles and artifacts.
  • Played a Leçon 21 board game to review the vocabulary.
  • Briefly discussed St Catherine's Day and tomorrow's hat fashion show.
Les devoirs:
  • Study the Leçon 21 vocabulary.
  • Make a hat for St Catherine's Day tomorrow. Take an existing hat and build off of it. We'll vote on the smallest, prettiest, tallest, ugliest, most French, sportiest, etc. Choose a theme and make your hat for tomorrow's fashion show! Extra credit will be given to those who bring in a hat. We'll learn more about the holiday and the cultural significance on Tuesday.
  • Check your grades online. All missing assignments (from when you were absent) are due on Tuesday.
