In class: (En classe:)
  • Daily review questions and conversations in French.
  • Collected the ABC book pages.
  • Played a hide and seek game with Monsieur Tortue to review numbers 1-100.
  • Reviewed the "Expressions en classe" worksheet and acted out all of the commands.
  • Reviewed and discussed the Unité 1 vocabulary worksheet.
  • Handed out and discussed the French I review guide. Save this for the whole year and throughout high school! It will be very helpful.
Homework: (Les devoirs:)
  • Review the Unité 1 vocabulary worksheet.
  • Research Friday's famous francophone (Nicolas Sarkozy). Remember that this is due on Thursday this week!

  • Reviewed the French alphabet and played a review game with the white boards and Monsieur Tortue!
  • Sang the songs of the week.
  • Reviewed numbers 1-20 and played Four Corners as a review game.
  • Introduced the days of the week and months of the year and discussed birthdays.

  • Discussed weekend plans, the weather, date, time, etc. in French.
  • Shared and discussed articles and artifacts. Handed out the Nouveaux Mots worksheet. Save this for the entire trimester!
  • Introduced the sang the songs of the week: "Bonjour!" and "Qui je suis."
  • Presented the "Cet ete" projects.
  • Worked on the ABC book sentences with a partner.

  • Finish writing your ABC book sentences. We'll work on the final product in class on Tuesday.

  • Worked with a partner to create our own, unique version of the "alphabet" book.

  • Bring all of your supplies to class on Monday.
  • Bring in French articles (current events) and French artifacts. Remember to write a summary on a 3x5 note card.
